Polestar’s flagship SUV, the Polestar 3 Long range Single motor, has achieved a remarkable milestone with an official WLTP-certified range of up to 438 miles. This certification places it at the forefront of its class, combining exceptional efficiency with the premium features expected of Polestar’s performance-driven electric vehicles.
Efficiency without compromise
The Polestar 3 Long range Single motor is powered by the same 111 kWh battery pack found in its Dual motor sibling, offering advanced energy management and rapid charging capabilities. Drivers can take advantage of a 250 kW peak charging speed, achieving a 10-80% charge in just 30 minutes via DC charging.
This impressive range makes the Polestar 3 Long range Single motor a standout in the electric SUV market, addressing the lingering concerns of range anxiety with a single charge capable of tackling long journeys with ease. Polestar UK Managing Director Matt Galvin commented on the achievement, stating, “Range anxiety is officially a thing of the past, with all our performance EVs offering over 300 miles (WLTP). This new variant not only delivers class-leading range but also embodies the luxury and comfort our customers expect.”

Despite its focus on range, the Polestar 3 Long range Single motor remains true to the brand’s performance roots. The motor drives the rear axle exclusively, producing 220 kW of power and 490 Nm of torque, ensuring a lively driving experience with a 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) time of 7.8 seconds. Its sophisticated passive damper system with Hydraulic Rebound Stops (HRS) and Frequency Selective Damping (FSD) guarantees both comfort and control on the road.
