The accolade was bestowed upon the EV6 GT by the Association of Scottish Motoring Writers (ASMW) during their annual celebration of the most outstanding new cars in the automotive industry. Notably, this marks the second consecutive SCOTY award for the EV6 series, following the standard model’s recognition as the ‘Best EV over £40,000’ at the 2022 awards.
The ASMW’s jury commented: “We were bowled over by the high performance and handling prowess of the EV6 GT, but also its abundant quality and all-round ease of use. It’s a powerful car that you can realistically use every day. This potent combination makes the EV6 GT an obvious winner of the ‘Performance Car of the Year’ award.”
